Japanese Petty knife (in English "Petty" - small; in French "Petit" - small) – small all-around knife with design resembles Gyuto knife, but with shorter and narrower blades. A petty knife in the kitchen can do almost anything! Cutting, shredding, cutting meat and fish. Vegetables, fruits, herbs, meat, fish, poultry ... Definitely the one of "must-have" knife. Petty knife blade length usually ranges from 120-180mm (most popular 150mm), with a width of 26-38 mm and a thickness of 1.3-1.8 mm. The handle can be as Western same as Japanese style.

The knife is both functional and attractive. Straight out of the box, it was sharp and got right to work. At such a low price, the carbon steel and rosewood handle combination is fantastic.

Excellent knife, exactly what we needed. Good balance and maneuverability. So far, the edge has held up well. For little utilitarian duties, this lade form is ideal, and it also looks wonderful on the knife storage rack.

But be sure, this is a 100% perfect cutting machine. (Blade finish looks like it has already been highly professionally resharpened by hands, on Waterstone) The owner and head of Goko Hamono, Mr.Yamakawa, used to say: The difference between creating just good-looking art objects and making great knives are enormous. I have no intention of making knives, just beautiful. First of all, I make knives for practical use and perfect cutting. It is not about the looks. I pour my soul into the knives I make ". This phrase became a concept of Goko Hamono made knives.
