ZDP 189 Steel

ZDP-189 is Japanese high-end PM (Powder Metallurgy) stainless steel specially developed for custom knives and premium cutlery by Hitachi Metal in collaboration with famous Japanese custom knife makers. It combines extraordinary hardness (65-67 HRC), toughness, good corrosion resistance, and perfect aesthetics. ZDP189 has a uniform and fine microstructure and does not contain coarse carbides, so blades made from ZDP189 can be sharpened to unbelievable sharpness.
