Golden Week, a holiday-filled stretch of the calendar in Japan, is one of the most joyful times of the year. The period runs from April 29 through the first days of May and contains four national holidays. This is one of the busiest travel seasons of the year, as millions of people take advantage of the longer vacation time and pleasant spring weather.
